How many of you have to make choices every single day? Everybody’s hand should go up. Whether big choices, like what college to attend, or small choices, like what pants to wear today, they are all choices.
I first started thinking about choices when listening to the song “It’s Your Life” by Francesca Battistelli. That is one of my favorite songs of hers. It talks about how the world is watching your choices. Do you ever think you can get away with something because no one is watching and, it turns out, someone is. I think that especially happens as kids. But someone is always watching what choices you make. Here’s the chorus of the song-

It’s your life
What you gonna do?
The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make
Say what you are and who
Your heart beats for
It’s an open door
It’s your life

The chorus is my favorite part of the song. Mainly for the lyrics. I just love the basic truth in the song. Isaiah 30:21 says…

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

You will have many choices in your life. It’s your choice to pick the right ones.

We are

We Are is a fairly new song by Kari Jobe. The chorus goes like this-

We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine
We are the light of the world
We are the city on a hill
We are the light of the world
We gotta, we gotta, we gotta let the light shine
Let the light shine, let the light shine

We may be the only person that can lead someone to Christ. That may be placed on our path. Our path. Your path. You can’t have faith without works. You can’t believe in Jesus and be a strong Christian and still continue to follow your old lifestyle. As Matthew 6:24 says,

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

So show your light. Don’t hide Jesus and only take it out on Sunday mornings. Show Jesus 24,7.

Steal My Show

Steal My Show is a new song by TobyMac. I absolutely love it! It talks about just letting The Lord just take over! Him now being the lead of your everyday life. I find his new song just great. I love to sing along to it. And it makes me think about giving my life over to Him everyday. I really need to. Not just when I am having a bad day. Everyday!

Kisses from Katie

Kisses from Katie is a book about a girl named Katie Davis. She is fresh out of high school with a rich family, high school boyfriend, and a future in college straight ahead of her. Everything seems to be laid out, right? WRONG! One mission trip changes her life forever. Her heart is stolen and left in Africa. So after much prayer and discussion with her parents, she promises her parents she will spend 1 year in Uganda, then return home and go to college and continue her future. Little does she know, her one year will be a memorable one.
Within the year Katie is working at a job, is a single mother with many adopted kids, and has to deal with sickness and hungry people. She begins to struggle. But God helps her through her life. He helps her through every problem she encounters.
Kisses from Katie is a sad yet heartwarming story. It shows how God can work through a young girl Like Katie to do big things. I encourage you read the book. And take a look at her website, and her personal blog, .
