Music-Turn Around By Matt Maher

As a teen living in a world full of depressing situations, this song is one of my favorites. It speaks to the people with hopes that are very little. The song reminds us that whatever hardships you are going through right now, remember that theirs someone waiting for your call, our Savior. Just say one short prayer, He’ll be there!

“If your looking for a Savior, all you gotta do is turn around.”

Singer-Peter Furler

TRAVEL

Peter Furler is a great Australian Christian artist who broke away from being lead singer in “The Newsboys” to be able to spend more time with his family. Since then he’s made a new, 11 song album called “On Fire”. He addresses the most known facts about God and makes them new, more important. A great album for those in tough situations needing to get back to the basics. This is my favorite part of a song by him called, “All in your Head”.

“All in your Head” -Peter Furler

….But you stall, and you stall

Get up, get off your seat
Move your feet, just do what He said
It’s all in your head, it’s all in your head

Forgetting what’s behind
Now’s the time to go where you’re led
It’s all in your head, it’s all in your head

And you wait
You save your best for last
And you wait
And then the moment’s passed

Whatcha waiting for?
God’s holding the door for you
Where ya hiding out?
There’s so much more for you

If you need a prompt
He’s draining the swamp for you
Ready with a push
With a shove, with a kick of love…..

2012 Dove Awards

Jamie-Grace Jamie Grace attends 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards Pre-Show at The Fox Theatre on April 19, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 2012 Dove (Christian Music) awards were pretty plain. I think wait, I know, they could have done better. But, the one good thing that happened was listening to Jamie Grace’s award speech. She won “New Artist Of The Year” and as she went up in tears, had an awesome speech. She listed how she “wants her dad to take her to Chick-Fil-A the next day”. It was just a awesome time listening to her speech! After that, they did some performances by Mary-Mary and  Donnie Mcklurkin,  but nothing beats that wonderful speech!

Singer-Toby Mac

Toby Mac is a Christian singer with heart. His songs are inspiring and uplifting. One of my personal favorites is called “City On Our Knees.” In it he sings about the world living all together with one King, God. My favorite part of the song is this –

“If you gotta’ start somewhere, why not here?
If you gotta’ start sometime, why not now?
If we gotta’ start somewhere, I say here.
If we gotta’ start sometime, I say now.”

I like that because it say’s why not start believing now. Why don’t we believe now? I think everybody should listen to his music. I highly recommend him for his upbeat tunes that always get stuck in my head and make me wanna sing.

Bands- Barlow girl

Taking A Trip Down Memory Lane<br /><a href="/media/photos/official/taking-trip-down-memory-lane" title="View more Details about this posting.">View Detail</a>

Barlow girl is a band I think all girls should here. They sing about clothes, popularity, and even dating! I personally like the song called “Clothes”  by Barlowgirl. I like all the lyrics but my favorite part would have to be the beginning-

Clothes aren’t what they used to be
They don’t seem to fit you and me anymore
Modesty is out the door
Flaunting what we’ve got and more is in
Yeah it’s in

I like how they put the message that you don’t have to wear the “in-clothes” or try to be the “it-girl”. God made you just how he wanted you to be.
